Driving more than 10,000 km in eight weeks, our roadtrip included many unforgettable adventures. Real Talk:
Despite our attempt at keeping our Morocco Travel Documentary as authentic as possible, you are still watching a highlight reel. When editing, we naturally tend to choose the most exciting videos. What you donโt see are the hours spent driving through less spectacular landscapes or some of the unpleasant challenges we faced.
Did we like everything about Morocco?
Far from it. As mentioned in the video, the huge amount of trash definitely dampened our experience. Additionally, we were surprised by the sheer number of begging children. During our trip, we counted a minimum of 500 children asking us for money or sweets. While Morocco undoubtedly has to combat poverty, this behavior often seemed less dictated by need and more by opportunity. Stopping and giving is an individual choice, of course, but when we didnโt we were regularly flipped off, kicked after, or hurled insults at.
In general, though, we perceived most Moroccans as extremely friendly and helpful. The best example is the three local men who selflessly helped us to change our ruptured tire. We cannot thank them enough.
Full Disclosure:
This trip was entirely self-funded. However, we did enjoy a two-night complimentary stay at La Sultana Oualidia and a two-night complimentary stay at La Sultana Marrakech.

World's Most Dangerous Roads: Deadliest Journeys in Vietnam in 2015
Deadliest Roads - Congo: https://youtu.be/Olbqp0Uq1p0
We are in the Quan Hoa mountains in the Northwest of Vietnam. It is one of the poorest and most isolated regions in the country. Here, most of the inhabitants live on less than a dollar a day. However, this province possesses an inexhaustible treasure: bamboo. Or as the Vietnamese refer to it โgreen goldโ. Some of this bamboo is transported on raftsโฆ Makeshift crafts, assembled in just a few hours, are sent down the twists and turns of the tumultuous river Luong.
This region is also the only region in the country where the roads are not asphalted. During the rainy season, which lasts around three months, parts of the regionโs commerce is paralysed. Even 4x4s and trucks canโt handle itโฆ The only engine capable of manoeuvring the roads is Van Lyโs โTuk Tukโ.

Cyprus has been at the crossroads of civilizations for millennia and is among the most diverse and fascinating places in the Mediterranean Sea. Located on the edge of Europe, the island has been influenced by traditions, religions, and cultures from three different continents.
Due to its complicated recent history, the country is divided into two parts, that are inherently different yet surprisingly similar. For the traveler, Cyprus offers an abundance of ancient sites, spectacular natural scenery, vibrant cities, tasty food, and friendly, welcoming people.
In this travel documentary, Iโm traversing Cyprus, visiting some of the most beautiful and interesting places, in both the Southern and Northern part. The video was made in November 2022, when I had the chance to travel around Cyprus for 2 weeks.

Hereโs a brief overview of the content in this video:
We start this journey in Nicosia, the vibrant capital city of Cyprus, also known as the โlast divided capital in the worldโ, symbolizing the islandโs complicated political situation. We explore both the South and North, and witness some of the contrasts and similarities. While the narrow streets of the old city offer some incredible historic monuments, we also visit some newer parts of Nicosia.
After renting a car, we drive through the Troodos mountains, a spectacular region with picturesque villages, rugged mountain landscape, and hidden monasteries that contain colorful frescoes. Some of the highlights include Mount Olympus, Agros and Kykkos Monastery.
Our next destination is Paphos, a friendly tourist center that boasts the mesmerizing โPafos Archaeological Siteโ. Following the coastline, we briefly stop at Aphroditeโs Rock (or Petra tou Romio), a mythical landmark surrounded by pretty beaches.
We visit the ancient city-state of Kourion with its striking location on the Mediterranean, before catching a break on the coastal promenade of Limassol (or Lemesos), a cosmopolitan city and important business and entertainment hub.
Driving back inland, we come across one of the oldest and best-preserved pre-historic sites in the region, Choirokoitia, before arriving in Lefkara. Surrounded by steep valleys, this photogenic village is famous for its historic embroidery, lace, and silverware production. Although the industry has diminished over the years, you can still witness artisans at work in the narrow cobble-stone alleys.
Larnaca is a laidback city and gateway to the island, providing a good introduction to Cypriot daily life and culture. Itโs our last stop before arriving in Cape Greco peninsula and national park, the Easternmost point in the European Union. Itโs a beautiful place with rugged scenery, full of walking trails.
We return to the North of Cyprus, visiting the intriguing walled city of Famagusta. The historic center provides a great insight into this former stronghold, with narrow alleyways, crumbling churches, and the massive Lala Mustafa Mosque. Just outside central Famagusta is Varosha, where we are tragically reminded of Cyprusโ complex political situation. This abandoned neighborhood used to be a thriving beach resort but has now turned into a ghost town.
Traveling further North, we visit Bellapais, with its imposing Abbey, and arrive in Kyrenia, the most visited city in Northern Cyprus, partly due to its connection with Turkey. The skyline is dominated by the massive castle, but the city also offers a pretty old town and lively harbor with restaurants and cafes.
Not far from Kyrenia is our final destination, St Hilarion Castle. Built on a craggy mountainside, itโs a captivating place to explore, with crumbling towers, tunnels, hidden courtyards, and sweeping vistas of the surrounding landscape.

China is one of the worldโs most fascinating and complicated countries, and its cities seem to get bigger every year. Considered a rural society just a few decades ago, China today is home to the worldโs largest urban population.
In this travel documentary, I take you on a journey through some of the countryโs most interesting cities. While many city centers are filled with modern skyscrapers, we also search for more traditional neighborhoods, historic sites, tranquil parks, special events, and cultural activities. We look at the rapid changes China is undergoing in its urbanization process, and mention some of the challenges the country is facing.
From the modern megacities of Shenzhen and Guangzhou we travel to the ancient centers of Beijing and Xian. We visit the popular Summer holiday beaches of coastal Qingdao, and the exciting Winter festivals of Harbin. From the streets of fusion cities like Hong Kong and Macau we continue our journey to Tibetan Lhasa, located on the Rooftop of the World. We also take a look at the disappearing alleys of old Kashgar, in the controversial Xinjiang region, and the empty streets of Ordos, Chinaโs best known ghost town. And we explore the expanding urban centers along the Yangtze river, including Wuhan and Chongqing, all the way to the fast paced metropolis of Shanghai.
I traveled through China independently for more than a decade, on several occasions. The footage in this video was shot between 2010 and 2019, and is accompanied by background information. For more in-depth information on each place, I recommend to read, watch, and listen to as many different sources as you can.

Hereโs a brief overview of the content in this video:
We begin our journey in Shanghai, one of Chinaโs most remarkable cities. Its skyline has become a symbol for the countryโs economic growth. While we look at the modern face of Shanghai, I also visit some more traditional neighborhoods, even though they are disappearing fast.
We travel onwards to Harbin, in the North of China, to visit a spectacular Winter festival, with sculptures and palaces made from ice and snow, which draws millions of tourists every year. Beijing, the nationโs capital, is our next destination. This is the political heart of China, but also brims with culture and creativity.
In Chongqing, located on the mighty Yangtze river, we witness some of the urbanization process, while in Lhasa we look at the traditions and customs of the Tibetan people. We travel onwards to Xian, where we walk on the ancient city walls, eat some delicious food in the Muslim neighborhood, and visit the magnificent Terracotta Army.
After Xian, we travel to Ordos, Chinaโs best known โghost townโ. After which we continue our way to Kashgar, in the now controversial Xinjiang region, where the faith of the Uyghur people hangs in the balance. Qingdao is our next destination, one of Chinaโs most beautiful coastal cities, where we also explore some of the suburbs.
Hong Kong is perhaps the perfect mix between East and West. A short ferry ride away, Macau retains some of its Portuguese history, but is also known as the โLas Vegas of Asiaโ with its many casinos. Just across the โborderโ from both, Shenzhen has grown into one of Chinaโs largest and wealthiest cities, while it was just a small fishing village 40 years ago.
The last two cities we visit are Wuhan and Guangzhou, which have their own distinct character. I visited Wuhan before the pandemic broke out, and found a sprawling city. Guangzhou is also a vast metropolis, and is known for its Cantonese culture and cuisine.

Flying a drone:
If you want to legally fly a drone in Belize, youโll need to go through a lengthy process with several government agencies. In total, the cost for the license amounts to roughly 300 USD. The application process happens mostly online but also requires an in-person meeting at the Civil Aviation building close to the airport. Oahu - The Heart and Soul of Hawaii | Nature Documentary
Watch '8000 Miles to Alaska: A Journey Along the Longest Border in the World ' here: https://youtu.be/nvp9X3PC08k
Oahu island is the economic and cultural centre of the Hawaiian archipelago, as well as being a paradise for surfers, active holidaymakers and freedom lovers. The island is home to more than half of all natives and almost eight million foreign guests annually. Anyone searching for peace and seclusion wonโt find either in Honolulu or Waikiki. Traffic congestion and a backdrop of skyscrapers belong to the town panorama. Hip cafes, galleries and young fashion firms have settled here, adding a new and modern flair to the capital. Cindyโs Lei Shoppe, the Chinatown florists, has been here for more than 30 years. This is also because the so-called Leis, the tradition of floral decoration, usually offered as a flower necklace or as a headdress, is still an important part of Hawaiian culture. Keone Nunes is well-known for his traditional tattooing skills, whereby the so-called Kakau Tattoos are virtually hammered into the skin with a hippo tooth. But Oahu is also an island of overwhelming natural beauty and a fascinating diversity on the smallest of places ...

Follow us on our Grand Icelandic Roadtrip!
Born from the fiery womb of the earth, and shaped by glaciers, tempests, and swells, Iceland bears a likeness to the earth when it was young - a boisterous spirit, untamed and running wild. Combining the inhospitable plains of the central highlands with moss-adorned river canyons and massive ice sheets, Iceland is the crown jewel of our planetโs rich treasures.

Flying a drone in Iceland:
Please be aware that restrictions on flying drones in Iceland apply. As an example, flying in national parks requires you to obtain a license. Read more about that here: https://ust.is/english/visitin....g-iceland/faq/#drone If you intend to fly a drone in Vatnajรถkull National Park, make sure to apply through https://www.vatnajokulsthjodga....rdur.is/en/communiti
Please understand, that we obtained such a permit to shoot in Vatnajรถkull National Park. In general, be mindful of other visitors and do not disturb their experience by flying a drone directly above their heads. This is both dangerous and extremely ignorant. Donโt be this guy.
Real Talk:
Despite our attempt at keeping our Iceland Travel Documentary as authentic as possible, you are still watching a highlight reel. When editing, we naturally tend to choose the most exciting clips. What you donโt see are the hours spent driving through less spectacular landscapes or some of the challenges we faced.
Full Disclosure:
This trip was entirely self-funded. However, we participated in two complimentary whale-watching tours with North Sailing.

Peru, famous for many reasons. Wonders of the world that people travel from anywhere and everywhere to feast their eyes. But thatโs not what our journey is about. Weโre going behind the billboards, posters and travel agents. To the real, raw, wild and truly epic regions of this country that many sadly miss.
From sand dunes taller than buildings, to mountains and roads scraping the atmosphere, this Six week adventure will challenge us in new ways as we cross the most diverse landscapes weโve ever seen.
For my first full length feature - I set out to the coast of Oregon for 13 days. We chose the off season - ready to battle the challenging rain and wind in exchange for having most of the locations to ourselves. As a hiking guide with my business Roulette-Travel.com, I'm no stranger to inclement weather - and so was ready for the challenge of whatever Oregon could throw at us.
Venturing into the Pacific Northwest for the very first time - I wasn't exactly sure what to expect - especially considering that I met my travel partner for the time - at baggage claim. We linked up through Instagram to split the costs of the trip as well as the burden of driving, and this documentary shows how it played out!
Dive in with Roulette Travel as we travel 1,700 miles through Oregon's stunning forests and coastline, visiting 18 waterfalls and 8 cities along the way. From the lush forests along the Columbia River Gorge and its scenic waterfalls, to the giants of the redwood groves and back to the bridges and megaliths of the coast - this adventure has it all.

Israel means a lot of different things to many people, and is one of the most diverse and dynamic countries in the world. Even though itโs often associated with political unrest and conflict, itโs also a beautiful place to travel to, with spectacular natural beauty, lively cities, ancient historic sites, incredible cuisine, and friendly, welcoming people.
On this journey, Iโm traveling through the Holy Land, a region important to the three main monotheistic religions, and what is known today as Israel and Palestine.
In this episode, Iโm exploring Israel, a country that was established in 1948, but is located in a region that has been at the crossroads of religions and cultures for many centuries. From the beautiful beaches and dynamic streets of modern Tel Aviv, to the religious landmarks and atmospheric alleys of the Old City of Jerusalem. From the salty water of the Dead Sea to the surreal desert landscapes of the Negev. Along the way, I meet some of the people that live here, and taste some of the local food.
Iโll do so from a travelerโs perspective, focusing on the positive stories and things to do. But here and there I also mention the conflict between Israel and Palestine, since it has impacted the lives of many people in the region. For those interested in the politics and modern history of the region, however, I recommend to read, watch, and listen to as many different sources as you can.
This is my first long trip after the pandemic started, and Iโm grateful for the chance to travel again. Itโs also my second visit to the region, and therefore I use both new and older footage for this video.

Hereโs a brief overview of the content in this video:
We begin this journey in Tel Aviv, Israelโs โbeach cityโ. But itโs much more than that, itโs also an economic powerhouse and vibrant cultural center, known for its liberal and cosmopolitan attitude. The next stop is Caesarea, an interesting place for people who are interested in history. This ancient port city was an important place during Roman times, and was only recently excavated by archaeologists. Not far from here is Haifa, known particularly for its beautiful Bahaiโs gardens.
I continue my travels in Akko, a stunning fortified city on the Mediterranean coast. Its winding alleys are a joy to get lost in, and itโs also worth discovering the underground tunnels. Driving onwards, I travel to the Golan Heights, an area popular for outdoor activities, with beautiful mountain landscapes and national parks. Itโs also a contested place, as the Golan was captured by Israel from Syria, after Six Day War. As you travel in this region, you come across many reminders of the war.
Nazareth is one of Christianityโs holiest places, and the place where Jesus is said to have lived for many years. The Basilica of the Annunciation is the absolute highlight for many visitors, and the city is an important place for religious tourism. Also interesting is Nazareth Village, where you can imagine life during the time of Jesus.
Few places evoke so much imagination as Jerusalem, one of the worldโs oldest cities, and holy to Jews, Muslims, and Christians. Walking (into) the Old City can be a magical experience, and to many visitors feels like entering a different world, and era. While Jerusalem is a spiritual and historic center, itโs also a dynamic city, where traditional lifestyles blend with cosmopolitan ideas.
We continue our journey in the Negev, a vast region in the South of Israel, comprising of arid mountains and surreal desert landscapes. Here, I visit a number of beautiful nature reserves, and also briefly visit a kibbutz. At the Southern tip of the Negev is Eilat, a popular holiday destination for Israeli families, but also a good place to go diving or snorkeling, as itโs located on the Red Sea.
I end the trip on the Dead Sea, known for its high salt levels, where people actually stay afloat. The high concentration of minerals is also said to have healing powers for people with certain skin problems. Itโs not all good news though, as the Dead Seaโs water levels are receding at immense speed, mostly due to human activity, such as extraction for industrial purposes, and climate change.

Tunisia has been at the crossroads of civilizations for millennia and is a fascinating place to travel to. Itโs the smallest nation in North Africa, but boasts enough history, culture, and natural beauty to match countries many times its size.
With its spectacular coastline, itโs often seen as a beach holiday destination, but venture a little further and youโll discover a country full of vibrant cities, traditional cultures, delicious food, captivating historic sites, and friendly, welcoming people.
In this video, Iโm traversing Tunisia, exploring some of the countryโs most beautiful places. From the busy streets of capital Tunis to remote desert oases near Tozeur. From traditional Berber villages like Tamezret and Chenini to the long and beautiful beaches of Sousse. From the mountain scenery around Tataouine to the rolling dunes of the Sahara desert. From the relaxed vibe and friendly towns on Djerba island to the ancient archaeological sites of El Jem and Carthage. And from the impressive Great Mosque of Kairouan to the bustling alleys of Sfaxโs historic medina.
This travel documentary was made in June 2023, when I had the chance to travel around Tunisia for 2,5 weeks.

Hereโs a brief overview of the content in this video:
We start our journey in Tunis, the vibrant capital city of Tunisia. It provides a great introduction to the country, with an intriguing historic medina, bustling markets, lively street scenes, great food and welcoming people. Not far from here are the picturesque Sidi bou Said, one of Tunisiaโs most visited villages, and the ancient archaeological site of Carthage. Both can be visited as day trips from Tunis.
After renting a car, we drive South to the Berber village of Takrouna, to try some delicious home made bread. The next destination in Sousse, a popular beach vacation destination, that also offers a friendly medina, historic landmarks, and a stunning museum with spectacular mosaics.
We briefly stop in Monastir to visit the Ribat and Mausoleum of Habib Bourguiba, to many still seen as the โFather of the Nationโ, before arriving in El Jem. This small town is home to one of the best preserved amphitheaters in the world.
Kairouan is considered the fourth holiest city in Islam, after Mecca, Medina, and Jerusalem. At the core of the city stands the imposing Great Mosque that remains an important place of worship. We also go in search of carpets here, for which Kairouan is famous.
After passing Sidi Bouzid, generally considered as the starting point of the so called Arab Spring, we continue to Tozeur, a small city on the edge of the Sahara. Reaching this far-flung outpost proved quite a challenge, as a sandstorm suddenly picked up. Around Tozeur we visit several oases, and also take a look at a former Star Wars movie set.
We cross the massive Chott el Jerid salt lake and arrive in Sabria, where we get an impression of nomadic lifestyles and ancient Bedouin culture. After riding camels, sipping tea at sunset, and a wonderful meal, we spend the night in style inside a tent camp. Next on the list are friendly Tamezret village, the peculiar hotel of Ksar Hadada, Ksar Ouled Soltane, and Chenini, which provides a great example of troglodyte housing.
The island of Djerba has a relaxed Mediterranean feel, with friendly villages, spectacular beaches, and interesting sights. We visit bustling markets, the murals and art of Djerbahood, pottery and ceramic workshops, and the beautiful El Ghriba Synagogue. We finish our journey in Sfax, an important commercial and industrial center, but also a city with a friendly, open attitude.
